LIMITED ENGAGEMENT

LIMITED ENGAGEMENT
By Paul Glen Neuman

GENRE: Romance
LOGLINE:

When Paula Rae and Cynthia discover they were both dumped at the altar, they form a pact to target each other's ex-boyfriend to make them pay for their heartless behavior in more ways than one.

SYNOPSIS:

Cynthia Wells and Paula Rae Hance both experienced the shame of being dumped on their wedding day at incredible emotional and financial expense-a fact they discover while attending a group counseling session.

Paula is so angry she's ready to shoot ex-boyfriend, Victor Dane.

Cynthia, on the other hand, thinks that would let him off too easy.

Far better, she says, to make Victor and her ex-boyfriend, Troy Clark, pay for the pain and heartache they've caused.

Troy sells luxury cars. Victor produces commercials for clients worldwide.

So, how does Cynthia propose to make their ex-boyfriends pay? By hitting them in their bank accounts where it hurts, and the only way to do that, Cynthia says, is by putting Troy and Victor through the same horrible experience the women endured.

Paula reluctantly agrees and together she and Cynthia form a pact to go after each other's ex-boyfriend-hatching a cunning scheme they hope will bring new meaning to the term "limited engagement."

Paula and Cynthia educate each other about their respective ex-boyfriend's likes and dislikes, in and out of the bedroom. With lessons covering everything the women need to know for their bold plan to succeed, Paula and Cynthia launch their attack.

In the days and nights that follow, Troy and Victor succumb to the lure of the dazzling new women in their lives who they believe will soon be inheriting millions.

With their growing passions fueled by equal doses of greed and lust, before they know it, Troy and Victor find themselves engaged to marry Paula and Cynthia and spending vast amounts for the wedding preparations engineered by Paula and Cynthia.

The last piece of Paula and Cynthia's scheme falls into place when they tell the ex-boyfriends that their favorite cousin is marrying on the same day as their own wedding. Consequently, a double ceremony is planned.

The big day arrives with Troy and Victor standing at the front of the church, ready to marry their veiled brides-to-be that have cost them so much.

Standing side-by-side with their respective partners, Paula and Cynthia finally reveal the truth, lifting their veils to show Troy that Cynthia is now standing next to him, and Paula is next to Victor.

Realizing too late what a terrible mistake they have made, Troy and Victor are still reeling from the shock of seeing their ex-fiancés again when Paula and Cynthia make their happy escape, driving away in a brand new Lotus Elise purchased by Troy.
