Centuries after their mission began, the crew of the Spaceship Europa returns to an Earth ruled by aliens for more than five hundred years.

SYNOPSIS:

First in a proposed trilogy, LONDONAUTS begins aboard the spaceship Europa, where an international crew of twelve eagerly returns to Earth after a mission lasting more than five hundred years.

The Europa's senior crew consists of Colonel Trevor Burroughs (British), Major Dominique Campre (French), Captain Paul Klein (German), and Captain Willhem Janssen (Dutch).

Orbiting above Earth reveals a disturbing reality. All attempts to establish radio contact prove useless. Also, none of the lights from Earth's major cities are visible from space.

Due to a system malfunction, the Europa crashes into the sea off the Southampton coast. As the ship sinks and the crew swims to shore, two team members are devoured by a monstrous sea creature.

By morning, it becomes clear to the survivors that something has gone horribly wrong in their absence. Everywhere reflects the ruined decay of crumbled buildings and vegetation gone wild.

Even more horrifying, as they make their way across a devastated countryside, they discover that, while they were away, Earth has been conquered by an alien race from beyond the stars.

With everything and everyone they've ever known gone forever, Colonel Burroughs and his crew are convinced reaching London is the key to their survival in the brutally harsh world they've returned to.
