A young woman uses mysterious technology to experience higher levels of awareness and healing.

SYNOPSIS:

Chudala and her husband Neil's company, Off The Grid, markets New Age products. Nothing out of the ordinary, until a salesman offers them something quite unique: a device to experience God. The Vitara, as it is called, is simple enough: pyramid shaped and fitting in the palm of one's hand, it exudes Vedic chanting when turned on. Way beyond simply sounding pleasant, its magical vibrations pour into the surrounding environment creating healing and well-being to those about. Chudala herself develops a close relationship with Krishna, transforms her physicality, and flies as a result of it. Her husband, Neil, however, while quite loving, is not as open minded as Chudala, and pursues the more traditional path toward enlightenment, of fasting and obeisance. Their chosen paths are put to the test when they make a wager toward Enlightenment, each in their own way. The course of events takes Neil away to India, where an ailing aunt is miraculously healed, unbeknownst to him, by a special Vitara, Chudala had created. While in India Neil befriends a physically challenged cab driver and a desperate orphaned teenager turned thief, (stealing Neil's shoes for money) all who become happy friends in the conclusion of this very family and morally uplifting tale.
