Deja Vu turns into PTSD when two disabled middle-aged women try to escape being homeless.

SYNOPSIS:

Homeless Jen and Ice hang out in an alleyway, lamenting their lot in life, as they are homeless.

Jen begs a hot-dog and the remnants of a sandwich from strangers.

Jen finds a football in a trash-can and throws it to Ice, who catches it and tries to run with it, but then collapses onto the ground, as she has difficulty breathing. She admits she has COPD from smoking, but she has quit.

Ice gets thirsty, but cannot move. Jen begs a Guy to buy Ice a drink. She tells the Guy, who does not want to tell them his name, that Ice has COPD.

The Guy finds a derelict abandoned house where they can stay, and he gets Ice a cylinder of oxygen for her COPD.

The Guy admits that in the past his own uncle died on the streets from COPD and he could not help him to get oxygen as he was too young, only twelve at the time. He has guilt over this, and hence his motivation for helping Ice. He says he is too ashamed to tell them his name, as he is ashamed of his parents, who gave him that name, for allowing his uncle to die on the streets.

The Guy gets Kim, a young documentary maker to interview Ice and Jen, and reluctantly, himself, in the house about the plight of the sick and homeless. However, Kim's producer will not air the film unless Kim gets Jen to confess a secret, which gives her PTSD, or Deja Vu, as she mistakenly calls it. Also, the viewing public, he says, will want to know the Guy's name.

But Jen and the Guy will not give these details as they are private matters. The film is scrapped.

Ice gets the Guy to get her a mobile oxygen cylinder, so she can retrieve her mother's ashes from a locker in a train station. She succeeds in this and brings the ashes to the derelict house. She says, this is precious to her and the only thing she values.

Later, Jen and the Guy admit their secrets to Ice.

A policeman visits their place but allows them to stay there as they have nowhere else to go.

Ice says she can still appreciate beauty, and this gives her the strength to continue living her life.
