After a little boy goes missing, three curious young teens take it upon themselves to search for him in abandoned buildings that is haunted by restless spirits.

Ext. Forest – Path – Day

Four elementary school kids wander into the forest to play. They decide to play game of tag and head off in different directions. One boy, Kolh, tries to find a place to hide. He ends up falling down a small ravine with a creak. He looks up and sees to see a tall shadowy figure. Back with the three kids, they call out of Kohl, but he does not answer.

ACT ONE:

Int. House – Silas’ Room – Day

Alarm blares as Silas, a sixteen-year-old teen, gets out of bed. As Silas brushes his teeth, the music is cut off by a radio announcer. Apparently, a child has gone missing in the woods.

Int. House – Living Room – Day

Tv has the news on about the missing child. Silas walks in to see both his grandmother watching as well. The news goes on to talk about how there with be a search party and the police are looking into it. Silas and his grandmother discuss the terrible news when grandfather walks in with news that there will be search party later in the evening and he needs Silas help with getting something from the attic.

Int. House – Attic – Day

A hatch from the floor opens to reveal Silas. He looks around at all the old things that his grandparents have kept. He grabs the item his grandfather wanted but spots a box that has his mom’s name on it. He takes the box with him downstairs.

Int. House – Hallway – Day

Silas climbs down and Grandfather question the box in his hands. Silas states that its from his mom and he wants to look through it. His grandfather says that it a good idea for its good for Silas to reminisce about his mom.

Int. House – Silas’ Room - Day

Silas goes through the box of his mom’s stuff and remembers the time with his mom when she was alive. He picks up a book that has illustrations of monster and myths about the rural town he lives in. Before Silas can further investigate, he is interrupted by a honk from outside.

Ext. House – Day

Silas races out of the house to see his childhood friend, Jack. He enters the car as his grandfather calls out to him about coming to the search party after school.

Int. Car – Day

Jack drives Silas a he to school. They chat about the missing kid and how it was Jack’s cousin who decided that they play in the woods. They talk about school and how there is supposed to be a new girl this semester.

Int. School – Classroom – Day

Silas takes out his book from bag. He sees that one of the books is his mom’s monster book. He opens it up to see the different illustrations. He reads about a similar occurrence years ago with an abandoned building. He is interrupted mid-way by teacher who introduces new student, Sarah Lin. Silas watches her sit and notices her staring at his mom’s book. He quickly hides it while Jack think the new girl likes Silas.

ACT TWO

Int. School – Locker – Day

Silas collects his homework. He jumps when Jack appears and tells him that he and a group of friends are going to look for the missing kid by this abandoned building. Silas and Jack reminisce about when they were kids and how that building was said to be haunted. Similar to any other teen, the two think that was a joke made up by the big kids when they were little. Jack gets a call from his Dad questioning if he is going on the search, which he states he does. After phone call, Silas understands why Jack is so agitated by finding this kid since his cousin caused a lot of problems for his family. They head out to Jack’s car not realizing someone is watching them.

Ext. Edge of Forest – Day

Jack parks his car in front of entrance to woods. They exit the car and can hear people already calling out for
