This is an idea I had years ago, where Disney's American Dragon: Jake Long would do a Crossover with the High School Musical franchise. Plus, the dream I had where Ricky Bowen (Joshua Bassett) was covering Nini Salazar-Roberts and then they were sitting down watching Emergency Lights go by. So, I figure it meant Ricky and Nini encountered or witnessed criminals and Ricky was protecting her. So, I think this a good way to tell both stories. It raises issues like bullying, harassment, relationship/domestic abuse, gang violence, drug abuse, and trafficking. As well as the issues in California, and the child marriages happening there, I fear child trafficking is involved. At the end a public service announcement on these issues.
I know it's not perfect, but I am willing to collab to make it better, and I found some people who are willing to help but the writers backed out, I believe Disney can go farther and helping to steer kids and teens away from gang life. I know Disney can make differences in people's lives, and I want to help do that and make a difference. This is my gift to them.
I also intend a sequel, and a prequel that is based on ADJL.
SYNOPSIS:
Ricky Bowen (Joshua Bassett) gets a call from the family of Nina “Nini” Salazar-Roberts (Olivia Rodrigo) and learns she has been in a downward spiral for some time and sometimes goes out for a whole day and comes back days later and is not herself and they are concerned for her, his fears that something had happened and will happen that will hurt her rises all his old feelings for her and realizes he has stronger feelings for Nini than anyone else and he is no longer connecting to Gina Porter (Sofia Wylie) so he breaks things off with her and drops out of a musical at the risk of turning into a drop out and goes to California to help them, with only Big Red (Larry Saperstein) his family and Ben Mazzara (Mark St. Cryr) knowing. He also tricks E.J. Caswell (Matt Cornett) into returning and the following morning Big Red’s father and Mr. Mazzara informs the school and Ricky’s father what he is doing and what happened to Nini and that it should remind them all what is really important. Nini’s family welcomes Ricky in hopes that he will get Nini back on track, enlisting Nini’s cousin/sister figure Erin Walker-Salazar and her boyfriend Derek Ray and his own cousin and brother figure Greg Bowen and his girlfriend Alexis and their friends, but finds resistance from a singing group called the Gold Stars whose leader Johnny Prince wanted to Collab with Nini who force him to leave calling him an amateur and their school is for professional. Ricky finds a friend in a nerdy kid he stood up for named Jimmy Wu an aspiring inventor and introduces him to Mason Church, Natascha Booth, Ethan Drake, Nicole Flynn, Cierra Orin, his sister Lynn Wu, and others and they infiltrate a party on a rooftop and expose the group spiking a drink with alcohol and Nini drinks some and ends up making a fool of herself then falls off the ledge hanging for her life. Ricky manages to save her, and the group is arrested, by Jake Long the American Dragon and his family, and Ricky makes a speech on TV about the problems in California, at which M. Shelley and Leland Vaughn meet slayer Reginald Renard (Richard Norton) who kills the thugs and torments the leader. At the hospital Jake and Rose loan Ricky a Dream Charm to help Nini out of a coma she had been slipping into, and Ricky’s new friends finally prove to Nini that Prince and the Gold Stars bullied them and are pompous entitled jerks, and the Gold Stars only wanted Nini for her music and Johnny just wanted to date Nini for her beauty, then Greg’s trainer Otto (Quinton Aaron) shows her that Shelley is a sick and dangerous man, and at her house Nini is still reeling from the hangover, when they trick her into revealing Johnny had slipped her energy supplements which Jimmy realizes are Caffeine and Speed pills and even diet pills (to help her relax and focus on her music, and making her look for cuter) Ricky takes them and Nini breaks down in tears in Ricky’s arms. At the hospital Nini realizes her dreams aren’t coming true and is now embarrassed over how she had made a fool of herself and realizes how bad and toxic the Gold Stars really are, and how toxic her relationship with Johnny is. By using their shared love of music Ricky helps Nini overcome the addiction and she begins to fall in love with him once again realizing he truly loves her for who she is and not just a songwriter. Then some thugs try to kidnap her, but they are saved by the American Dragon Jake Long (Jason Scott Lee) and his family wife Rose Long, Draco, stepdaughter Eve, Jade, Drake, Sage and Sapphire and reveal that the school’s main investor M. Shelley a rapper (based on R. Kelly) is involved with sex trafficking and Nini is now targeted by them. Sheltering Nini at a safe house their animal guardians led by Fu Dog reveal Jake’s history with Rose and how he helped make the truce with the Hunters, including Renard and a slayer named Damian Cruise who was experimented on and given powers. Sage finds evidence showing that Vaughn won his cases through fraud thanks to opponent Arnold George Jamison, and then Shelley and his gang find them and kidnap them and at a stadium Jake and Draco fight Renard who is seemingly killed and Cruise who is knocked out, expose their true colors including Vaughn and Shelley. Jamie Porter (Jordan Fisher) tells them that Shelley is a sick man who belongs in prison and how easily they fell for Vaughn’s lies, with that the Civil Activist are left to face the angry crowd alone as the trafficking is stopped. Renard survived and challenged them to his tournament.

Kevin, the Logline is WAY too long.. It should be 3-4 sentences at most. Think Haiku!! Watch NetFlix to get a sense of the direction such things are like. Read others on Stage 32 as well.
I really want to help all I can given my limited time and resources.
It's something Disney hadn't tried before.
saying I think at all won't work try again

It's far too long for a logline.
I wrote another version and would like to gift them to Disney.
