A Dracula movie, one of the popular monsters and horror masterpieces of all time. There have been a dozen of movies and books about Dracula. Everyone wants to do something with a popular monster like him. I included homages to the novel and original story. 

SYNOPSIS:

TERROR OF DRACULA

Charles Renfield is a rising realtor and lawyer going to Transylvania to secure a real-estate deal for Vlad Drake but is warned that Vlad is actually the vampire Count Dracula, not believing them he goes and meets Vlad. Vlad sees a picture of a young woman named Mina Manco a childhood friend whom he has been in love with for year but is dismayed and resentful that she is in love with/engaged to Jonathan “Johnny” Harker but hopes that Mina will leave Johnny so they can be together. Vlad along with three strange women approaches Renfield later in the night and offers to help him win Mina from Johnny only if he agrees to serve him, Renfield obsessed with Mina agrees, Vlad reveals his is Dracula, and Renfield becomes Dracula’s insane man servant, but is unaware that Dracula plans to make Mina into one of his concubines.

Mina and Johnny return from a date where they meet old friends Jackson Seward, Arthur Holmes his girlfriend Lucy West and his best friend Quincy Morrison, where Mina’s parents are visiting with Renfield’s parents who hope that Mina will leave Johnny for Renfield. The group soon learns that Renfield was found on a private plan and had gone mad, eating flies and other insects for blood, but seems to remember his obsessive interest in Mina, Renfield is locked in an asylum and treated by Jackson’s mother Jane Seward and Jackson. Later on, the group meets Dracula under the name Vlad Knight, and as they befriend him, Dracula falls for Lucy as well. Soon strange things happen to Lucy and Mina, the pair having dreams about Dracula (he is invading their dreams with his powers) and the engage him in dance.

Jane having trouble with Renfield, and with Lucy who has begun to fall on Dracula’s curse and calls on her mentor Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, an expert on medicine and the occult, and supernatural. Van Helsing meets Dracula, and then notices that in a mirror Dracula has no reflection, and learns Dracula is a vampire, and gives Mina and Lucy each a cross. But are removed due to them being old wife's tales, Mina keeps hers, but Lucy does not and dies. Later Van Helsing organizes a stake out at Lucy’s grave, and they see her alive, but when Van Helsing drives her off with a cross, they realize she has become a vampire, and Van Helsing forces to reveal Dracula turned her and Van Helsing reveals Vlad Knight is Dracula, and Lucy’s family reluctantly stakes her.

Van Helsing reveals the history of Dracula: Once a mortal man named Vlad Tepes a Romanian Prince who was once a noble valiant man of honor, but because of the war he grew mad and cruel by the end he became a terrible tyrant and a madman, he was renamed Dracula. His people and even his own family feared him, they turned to Matthias Corvinus to help end his tyranny, and with help from Basarab killed him, but after taking part in horrific actions he rose again as a vampire, going from a heroic warrior to a tyrant and finally a vampire lord and monster.

Johnny and Mina encounter Dracula and, in the confrontation, Dracula admits he had already infused his blood with Mina and that she will soon join him. Johnny and Van Helsing ward Dracula off with a cross, returning after Van Helsing and the group found where his coffins are and kill his brides.

Van Helsing and Jane meet with Renfield and inform him of Dracula’s true intentions of making Mina his bride. Renfield realizes Dracula’s treachery and seeks to claim Mina, kidnapping her and is followed by her friends as Renfield attempts to rape her, Dracula appears and kills Renfield. Dracula attempts to turn Mina but is stopped and Dracula kills Quincy who wounds him. As the sun approaches Dracula retreats to his coffin but is killed by Van Helsing, and Mina is freed.

With Dracula dead and the vampires are gone, Johnny and Mina wed, while Jackson becomes a doctor and marry, and Arthur finds new love.
