Megan, a high school cross-country runner reeling from the tragic death of her father, befriends the mysterious and odd Jack Scissors, a 1970s dressing teen who trains Megan to run, love, and live like his idol, Steve Prefontaine - with all heart.

SYNOPSIS:

(Continued from Logine) Over their summer of training together for the end-of-summer 5k race, Jack pushes Megan out of her comfort zone in all aspects of her life. As the day of the race draws near, Megan’s relationship with Jack blooms as she confides in him about her struggling relationship with her mom and the truth about how her dad died.

But one day while delivering groceries for work, Megan meets Joanne Scissors, Jack’s mom who is now 85 years old. Megan discovers that Jack passed away in 1978 when he was just 17 years old. Megan is stunned and hurt when she realizes that the one person she can confide in and has come to love, isn’t real. He’s only a ghost.

Megan must decide - will she live her life, as Jack taught her, like Prefontaine - with all heart? Or will she go back into her shell and hide from the world?
