By Joe Eatherton

GENRE: Sports, Comedy
LOGLINE:

A spunky beverage cart girl at a formerly men-only golf club bets the misogynistic club champion she'll beat him in the men's tournament to stop him from getting repealed the new bylaw that allowed women to join.

SYNOPSIS:

After suffering a few minor setbacks, Mandy, a 22 year-old freshman, rashly decides college just isn't for her. She drops out and settles for the familiar, comfortable position of beverage cart girl, taking the job at a golf club in its first year of allowing women to join.

Mandy quickly becomes popular at the club, alternating between a flirt for the men and a good girl for the women, collecting hefty tips from the affluent members. Meanwhile, Dr. Warren Schaefer, a recently-retired gynecologist whom the years have turned into a misogynist, schemes to get repealed the bylaw that allowed women to join and ruin his retirement dream of golfing whenever he wanted at his men-only club.

Silas "Spade Mashie" Walker, the club pro made frustrated by the wealthy widows' lone goal of hitting a ball in the air, discovers Mandy is loaded with potential, but sees she has a lot to learn about golf and life if she is to realize her dream of becoming a professional golfer. From Spade's lessons, Mandy learns seeking help is not an admission of failure; people, like greens, are each unique and must be "read" accordingly; drive means nothing without a plan; and to stop letting setbacks serve as an excuse to give up and settle.

After overhearing Dr. Schaefer's intentions to get repealed the bylaw and return the club to men-only, Mandy runs afoul of him. When he can't get her fired because of her popularity, Mandy offers him a winner-take-all resolution -- her job against his membership she'll beat him in the men's tournament.
