From the office in his private jet, a Dallas defense attorney thrives on courtroom theatrics while representing the rich and famous, yet his passion for justice extends to his family and the disadvantaged.

SYNOPSIS:

1986 - Mesquite, Texas. Sixteen-year-old Jason Wicks juggles three jobs with unwavering determination to fund his college education. By the year 2000, Jason has risen to prominence as a formidable defense attorney, specializing in high-profile cases across the United States. His trademark: a Phenom Jet transformed into a mobile office, earning him the moniker "Jet Stream Lawyer."

Jason's legal prowess and quick-witted courtroom theatrics command exorbitant fees, but guarantee results, cementing his celebrity status. Selective about his clientele, he reluctantly agrees to defend Russell Rhodes, the CEO of Rhodes Enterprises, facing serious felony charges with a maximum fine of two hundred million dollars and 20 years in jail. Russell’s company teeters under the weight of massive debts and dangerous liaisons with the Guerrero Cartel.

Russell Rhodes, known for his strong personality and penchant for pushing his luck to extremes against all odds, engages in a continuous abusive verbal struggle with Jason. Irrespective, Jason captivates the court not only with dramatics but also with real-life impact scenarios affecting Dallas’ working-class communities if Russell is put away. Despite Russell's acquittal, tensions escalate when Jason confronts him over unpaid debts, leading to Jason declining further representation. This triggers predictable threatening action from Russell, which he follows through on.

Meanwhile, Jason Wicks and his personal pilot, Mason Jackson, are attacked while on the tarmac. This incident helps forge a strong familial bond among both the parents and their children, including Russell’s daughter, Sarah Rhodes. However, even amidst this bonding, underlying envy surfaces.

Jason’s son, Darren, plants a bug in his father's Phenom Jet to test a hacking theory. Out of envy towards Jeremy Jackson's growing relationship with Sarah, he installs a similar device in Jeremy’s light plane. He manipulates Carlos Guerrero into a plot that results in the plane being hijacked and Sarah being abducted to Mexico.

Jeremy Jackson is arraigned and charged with her disappearance. Jason faces an enormous dilemma in defending Jeremy due to conflict of interest. Courtroom skills, theatrics and innovative investigative techniques become crucial in navigating this complex situation.

Twelve million dollars, withdrawn from Swiss banks, are clandestinely transported to Texas, then onto the Guerrero Cartel in Mexico. Sarah is released, but a large part of the ransom ends up back in Texas and buried in the Edwards Plateau Desert. Russell Rhodes, convinced of Jason’s involvement, masterminds his demise. The Cartel, equally unforgiving, hijacks refrigerated trucks en route to Fort Worth, resulting in Russell's capture.

The bug in the Phenom Jet shines a light on the final moments in the lives of Jason and his wife Beverly. It reveals startling family truths about Sarah and highlights Jason’s kinder character traits.

Mason assumes a paternal role while Darren emerges as a mature leader, providing support to his sister Jessica, Jeremy, and their newfound sister Sarah. Darren is the sole trustee aware of the desert stash's coordinates. Despite the tragedy and turmoil, the Wicks family navigates through with resilience, embodying the values of loyalty, justice, and familial strength.
