My only fear is that it takes too much from the Saw series. Besides that, it could be an awesome thriller, my friend.

Thank you Marcel Nault Jr. . It actually has some inspiration from the Saw franchise. Instead of tricky traps, they are makeshift death devices made to kill with modern twists on ancient torture methods like the rack, brazen bull, blood eagle and more. It's not several people at once, but they have to go out and find their "volunteers" one at a time. It's kind of like, in my head, Saw meets Wishmaster with some Santa Clarita Diet thrown in there. Is taking some inspiration from the Saw franchise a bad move for a horror flick?

Shawn Colpitts As long as the inspiration isn't pushed down our throats, you're fine.

I’d for sure watch this!

Thanks DeShawn Buckner . It has gotten great feedback from everyone who has read it. They are all friends and family though, so who really knows? I hope it gets made and done justice.

I don't think that it does that @marcel Nault Jr.. Although the gruesomeness and use of contraptions is within the realm of Saw, to a point, I think that everything together separates it enough so that the audience doesn't think it is just another Saw movie. The contraptions are simpler and the story is different with more intentional comedy within it. I think it's okay, as a ramble on nervously. LOL.
