When rock star Frank Zappa runs for President to reform a government he sees as corrupt he wins the election, but soon confronts the tough choice of sacrificing his ideals for political gain or sticking to them and facing indictment and imprisonment.

SYNOPSIS:

PRESIDENT ZAPPA is an alternate history biopic

It faithfully tells rock star Zappa's life, but instead of dying of cancer at 53 it imagines what would happen if he became President of the United States, a position he seriously entertained throughout his life.

It's a PG-13 film that contains the fantasy elements of YESTERDAY, with the musical energy of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY and the political poignancy of THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7.

The story has charismatic characters, riotous music, and political intrigue, but at its heart is the drama of a rebel confronting dark forces -- both external and internal. For these reasons I believe this film will engage and inspire audiences world-wide.
