SYNOPSIS:

Our story begins in 1870 in Richmond, Virginia: a city rebuilding from ashes. Delilah Gordon, a Southern woman who dreams of a career but is constantly at war with society’s expectations of women, searches for a way to make a difference. She, her disaffected mother, and two deeply divided brothers, caught in the throes of political change, must each reckon with their own beliefs, and, as the tenuous sun of Reconstruction begins to set, decide to whom—and what—they are loyal.
