GENRE: Action
LOGLINE:

When five African countries inexplicably pull out of the African Union and close their borders and all communication to the world, South Africa sends its best intelligence agent Kwesh Khumalo to investigate a Tanzanian Tech trillionaire who could be behind the political shakedown.

SYNOPSIS:

A former National Intelligence Agency Spook (Kwesh Khumalo) is reinstated into the Agency fold by his Dad & former Boss (Mordecai Khumalo) in order to stop a hostile takeover by a cyber terrorist organization controlled by an elusive figure known as the King of the Summer, who has already subdued five African Countries that he forced out of the African Union. Kwesh reluctantly takes on the mission, despite being distraught as a result of the loss of his Wife & having an estranged daughter. He sets out to locate this mysterious King and learns that he’s a well-known Tech trillionaire/philanthropist (Moses Delgado), who is hell-bent on creating an African Utopia free from the clutches of the West & her Allies. Kwesh’s investigation leads him to discover a weakness.

Delgado had a brilliant team of coders and engineers design the program that would allow him to take over a country’s entire military system and telecommunications infrastructure. However, to ensure that no one could stop him he had them that same team killed except for one: Angela Wakaba (a loyalist of the King) who he keeps at a secure facility to maintain the program. With her being the only person who knows how to stop the program, Kwesh must track down the girl and get her to stop the program before the King starts a war that South Africa won't survive with the West. To achieve this, he must face assassins, soldiers, corrupt officials & agents who are in Delgado’s pocket while trying to convince Angela to help him stop her boss.

The King of the Summer is an enthralling journey through a world of espionage, power, politics, betrayal, deception, manipulation, obsession, duty, human weakness, love, courage and redemption.
