A middle-aged college Instructor returns to her midwestern hometown after her mother’s death determined to find  her mother’s opal ring as a way to find closure with her mother’s recent passing; she’s haunted  by poignant childhood memories of the muddy Maumee, the river that her family grew up on and  still cherishes.
