CHRISTMAS CABIN
By Mark Deuce

GENRE: Thriller, Horror
LOGLINE:

In a secluded cabin, a family's quest for Christmas peace is shattered by a haunting presence that unveils the cabin's sinister history, forcing them to confront their deepest fears to make it through the holiday alive.

SYNOPSIS:

In the chilling woods of Vermont, the Anderson family, comprising father David, mother Claire, and their two children, Emma and Tyler, arrive at a remote cabin for a festive Christmas retreat. The cabin, rumored to be cursed by locals, quickly proves unsettling as strange occurrences begin—ornaments move on their own, eerie carols echo through empty rooms, and shadows dance in the firelight.

Emma, a curious teenager, stumbles upon an old journal hidden in the attic, chronicling the tragic fate of Molly, a young woman who perished under mysterious circumstances in the cabin decades ago. Emma's investigations awaken the spirit of Molly, who manifests as a spectral figure desperate to communicate.

As Molly guides the family through unsettling visions of the cabin's past, they uncover disturbing truths: Molly's death was no accident but part of a sinister ritual linked to a local cult that worshipped the darkness of winter solstice. The cult's influence still lingers, manipulating the spirits trapped within the cabin to reenact their tragic ends every Christmas.

The Andersons, haunted by their own family turmoil—a failing marriage, teenage rebellion, and buried secrets—must unite against the malevolent forces manipulating them. With Molly's guidance, they confront their darkest fears and the cabin's cursed history, racing against time as the winter solstice approaches, when the veil between worlds is thinnest.

In a climactic showdown, Emma and Tyler must decipher ancient rituals and face the cult's spectral remnants, while David and Claire confront their own past mistakes and secrets. Together, they must break the curse before they become trapped in the cabin's eternal cycle of horror.
