HAIRY MAN CREEK

HAIRY MAN CREEK
By Robert Bruinewoud

GENRE: Thriller, Horror
LOGLINE:

A self-involved teen’s boring weekend away in the Australian bush with her embarrassing family, becomes interesting in the worst way, when her step-dad is abducted by a monstrous assailant.

SYNOPSIS:

For sixteen-year-old Kiara, being dragged away from your friends over a long weekend, to visit a remote “hut” in the bush with your family, was always going to be a complete drag.

Things only get worse after Kiara has a confrontation with some local teenagers, and their house is attacked that night. Her parents decide to cut short their visit, but events conspire to delay their departure. And so they are still there the next night, when they are attacked again.

However, the attacker is not a mob of local, teenage troublemakers, but Australia’s bigfoot, a vicious Yowie! In a few, terrifying minutes, Kiara’s uncle, aunt, and finally her stepdad, are all taken by the Yowie.

After the attack, Kiara manages to rouse her mother and sister from their shock and despair, convincing them to go out with her into the night, and try to rescue her dad.
