A church anniversary dinner is interrupted by a mysterious guest who turns out to be a demon coming to punish sinners.

SYNOPSIS:

MIKE (35-45), the maintenance man of a church, finishes his last day of work. He is glad to quit his job because he cannot stand the people in church. He runs into PASTOR MARTIN, whom he asks to pray and read the Bible. CHRISTINE (25-35), an attractive female, arrives with a plate of food. Soon after follow: couple SAMANTHA (35-45) and JAMES (35-45), JASON (20), KATHY (25-35), and her husband WILLIAM (25-35) and TONY (30-45), ANGELA (40-45) and SUSAN (18-19), a family. Tony is Susan’s stepdad. Pastor Martin welcomes them and escorts them to the fellowship room. WALTER (45-60), who is in a wheelchair, joins them. ANN (40-50) pushes the wheelchair, followed by BUTCH (45-55), who wears an army uniform.

During the socializing, William tells Kathy to cover her short hair but she refuses because she’s not ashamed of her cancer. William then pulls Christine aside and they decide to hook up. Meanwhile, the socializing continues. Angela and Kathy discuss marriage and why it sucks. Angela notices her daughter is missing. William and Christine hook up in a secluded classroom. Paston Martin enters his office and opens the camera to see William and Christine having sex. He jerks off to that. Later on, they all return to the main table as Martin thanks everyone for coming to the 10-year anniversary of the church. Meanwhile, Tony harasses Susan, who then asks to leave. Tony then goes to the food table and eats a chicken without asking. Suddenly they hear banging at the door. LYFESS (25-35), a young white man with blood on his hands, is the one knocking. Despite opposition, Lyfess insists that he’s been invited by one of the church members and enters the room forcefully. Pastor Martin tells him that he can get one plate of food if he promises to leave or he’ll call the cops. Tony sees him and tries to shove him outside but gets thrown instead.

Lyfess barges into the room despite Martin trying to stop him. Lyfess calls all of them sinners as he continues to taunt them by exposing their secrets. Lyfess eats the food as everyone eyes him. As the feast continues, everyone grows frustrated by his presence so Pastor Martin asks him to leave. He then exposes William and Christine’s affair, and says that Butch murdered his squad leader when he ran away. When James tries to stab him, Lyfess remains unharmed. Lyfess then grabs James, stabs him. He gets more people to confess their sins as he tortures James. Ann admits having an abortion and HIV, to Walter’s surprise. Walter was crippled from the accident where he attempted to kill his other wife. Lyfess then reveals that Susan tried to kill her parents by poisoning the chicken so they’d both die because she was assaulted by Tony and frustrated by Angela’s indifference. Lyfess then reveals that Kathy only faked her cancer to get more drugs and money. At last, Lyfess reveals that he is a sin eater, coming to eat all those who have sinned. Samantha says he is not real but he manipulates the group to kill her to save themselves, which the others do. He then digs James’s heart out. The group scatters and runs away in fear.

Everyone searches for a hiding place: Tony in a small praying room, Martin in his office. Tony is visited by Susan, who insists on hiding with him. She then admits that she actually enjoys the assault and initiates sex. Tony doesn't refuse but Susan turns out to be Lyfess, who rips his genitals off and eats him. Marcus is in the basement when he sees his squad leader, who confronts him. The leader turns out to be Lyfess as well. Marcus dies.

Angela hides in the nursery. When her daughter knocks on the door, she lets her in but it turns out to be Lyfess in disguise as well. Angela dies. Jason hides in the utility closet and gets visited by the real Susan. They share a joint together as they figure out a plan to barricade themselves against Lyfess. They are caught by Lyfess in the hallway. Jason sees an illusion of his mother, who tells him that she was murdered by him because he gave her the portion of the drug that was supposed to kill her boyfriend to her. Jason asks for forgiveness as he accepts his fate. To his surprise, he doesn't get eaten by Lyfess. It turns out that if they pray and ask for God’s forgiveness, they can avoid getting eaten by Lyfess.

Pastor Martin turns on the camera again and sees Ann seduce him on the camera. Martin plays with himself but then notices that it’s himself in the camera. He runs out of the room in fear. Walter is in the Fellowship Hall, where he eats the remaining food. He is then haunted by the ghosts of his ex-wives, aka his scam victims, before falling and bleeding to death. William finds Christine and he tries to have sex with her. Kathy watches in jealousy as more and more tumors appear on her face, making her unrecognizable. William and Christine kill her together. Lyfess shows up and eats William’s heart. He then strips Christine's clothes to seduce Pastor Martin. William’s phone rings, Lyfess looks at it and throws it at Christine to kill her. Mike comes across the bloody hallway and then sees Martin’s dead body so he decides to dial 911. Jason runs into Susan again and he tells her to pray and ask for forgiveness to stop Lyfess. Susan initially hesitates but after seeing Lyfess, she obliges. It successfully prevents his assault. But Susan admits to poisoning all the food so Jason is going to die as well. He passes away as the police arrive. Susan confesses. The police officer, skeptical of Susan’s confession, decides to leave the matter alone when he sees Lyfess’s creepy figure in the church.
