SYNOPSIS:

Jay is a barber who's had more run-ins with unruly hair than he's had with success. But it's his unwavering passion for stand-up comedy that keeps him going, even when his punchlines fall flatter than a bad haircut. Then there's Jose, his trusty sidekick, a weed deliveryman with aspirations of entrepreneurship. Their journey is a blend of comedy, chaos, and lots and lots of Mary Jane.

When the sun sets, Jay transforms into a ride-share driver, chauffeuring the Bay Area's quirkiest characters while chasing his comedy dreams. Jose tags along, scheming up wild, often dubious, money-making ventures. Together, they navigate the urban jungle's eccentricities, from kooky customers to harebrained schemes, all in the intoxicating haze of smoke and laughter.

Hosted by the Historic BAL Theatre, this comedy showdown offers a shot at the big time, a $10,000 cash prize and a chance to have his own Netflix comedy special. But Jay's a struggling barber and ride share driver struggling to pay rent, and the $500 entry fee is due in a month. The clock's ticking, and Jay's comedy dreams hang in the balance.

With a colorful cast of characters flowing through their barbershop, Jay, Jose, and their fellow comedians riff on everything from clients, sports, to politics, celebrities, and world events—all while getting high and daydreaming about their desires.
