In this comedy- horror short, a tight-knit Black family move into an upscale White neighborhood and find themselves in the middle of a nightmare: the Turkeys have turned on the humans for their Thanksgiving dinner.
SYNOPSIS:
The Jackson “Four” move into a new home in an all-white upper class neighborhood Thanksgiving week. This close-knit Black family quickly find the neighbors a bit off with their over-friendliness.
As the twin sister and brother cruise their new hood, they experience something disturbing: a well-to-do businessman blowing the heads off turkeys in the middle of the street, as if it was an everyday occurrence. Trying to convince their parents that they should leave, the twins cries fall on deaf ears. Instead, they have been invited to a pre-Thanksgiving party a few doors down, put on by the three “Karens” in the community.
As the night unfolds, the Jackson's learn the local lore of the town: that their homes are on a sacred Mohawk grounds and that they have been cursed by the legend of the KARHONK BOWAUKUN “Death Turkey,“ a giant black flesh eating bird who has hunted humans since 1621, after the first Thanksgiving in America. Within minutes the neighborhood is in action, and they take to the streets, armed to the teeth. What happens next is a bloodbath between humans and birds.
The Jackson's with their athletic abilities survive just in the nick of time and split the area, only to find themselves in a diner on Thanksgiving Day, with an unwelcome passenger waiting in their car outside....
This 35 minute short script is full of homages to quintessential horror film deaths and interspersed with high comedic moments.
