Interesting coming-of-age story, Brittany Mack. And perfect title. And it reminds me of the groups New Edition and Boyz II Men.

I suggest changing "18-year-old Deion" to "_______ (the main flaw he has to overcome or an adjective that describes his personality)."

Maybe change "however" to "but," and I think "with the influence of society and cultural differences, the task is easier said than done" is vague.
