When a beer-loving buffoon is nominated for president by his friends while drunk, he must navigate the treacherous waters of politics to avoid embarrassing himself, losing his friends, and ruining the country.
SYNOPSIS:
After his friends nominate him to run for president while drunk one night, a dim-witted man from Texas must find a way to navigate the complex absurdities of a political campaign. He embarks on a comical journey that highlights the stupidity of American politics, and how friends and family are important to a person's success. Ted will take on the media, his political adversaries, and American citizens themselves while on his campaign trail.
Inspired by Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, and everything wrong in American Politics these days.
For ages 18-35 who need a good laugh. First short script can be read below.

Sounds like a fun series, Leah Tibbets. I think your logline just needs the stakes (what happens if he doesn't find a way to navigate the complex absurdities of a political campaign).
