SYNOPSIS:

A docudrama based on true Title IX events in 1975, that follows a high school athlete named Elizabeth who dreams of earning a college scholarship. When colleges begin to sponsor women’s varsity athletics, Elizabeth walks on and makes the varsity team to find lack of funding requiring them to do fundraising for warmups and equipment. Through determination, persecution by other women, and hard work Elizabeth gains the skills with her team to qualify for Nationals, but is injured at the Regional Tournament. With help from the fathers, a rogue football trainer and football player, she is able to enter the game and help the team defeat a cocky California team in a Cinderella story, proving that women can compete at the highest levels. The story shows the sacrifices and triumphs of the early women’s sports teams that paved the way for future generations.
