A surreal dream sequence that involves a vicious murder of a lady bird, gives rise to the identity of Jack the Ripper and co.
SYNOPSIS:
Jack's happy place when he is a bird of prey, is an eyrie above a greengrocers shop where he was once exhibited as "The Deadly Fruit of Original Sin," by his owner Mr. Norman. What is significant is that Jack, dressed in his protector's full regalia, includes a top hat and tails, and a cloak with ribbed wings of surgical knives, along with huge blackberries that explode upon impact. And as he hovers above Whitechapel, Jack witnesses the gruesome murder of lubricious Lady Bird (Martha Tabram), who he proclaims as he mother when he nests upon her cadaver. This murder leads to five canonical murders, and the hunt for Jack the Ripper. However, as Jack's nightmares continue to haunt him, he cannot distinguish between fact and fiction, so finds himself at the very heart of the murders. But with the help of his mighty protector, he becomes deeply involved in a ring of steel and a cover-up, until he is no longer of use, and after the final lady bird is so savagely put to rest, so is he.
