On the day he plans to meet Death, a grieving widower’s life takes an unexpected turn when an autistic young boy helps him rediscover joy—and a reason to live.
SYNOPSIS:
The Last Stop is a poignant and reflective drama about life, death, and the connections that give life meaning. David, a sickly man in his 70s, spends what he believes will be his final day carefully preparing to leave the world behind. After heartfelt goodbyes to his beloved dogs and a quiet moment helping a lonely boy find his lost baseball, David arrives at a desolate bus station to meet Death and take his final journey.
Death, however, isn’t there just to escort him into the unknown. Through quiet revelations and moments of clarity, David confronts the truth that life isn’t over until he decides to stop writing his story. Holding the boy’s muddy baseball, a symbol of connection and hope, David must choose between stepping into the void or embracing the life he still has left to live.
