A former NYPD detective turned private investigator undertakes to solve a decades-old disappearance of a Jazz musician, uncovering a web of crime and corruption tied to the city’s untouchable elites.
SYNOPSIS:
Set in the early 1990s, Noir Notes follows Vincent “Vinnie” Morello, a former NYPD detective turned private investigator with a deep love for jazz—a passion he once shared with his late wife, Elsa. Her tragic death fractured his relationship with their daughter, Elena, an aspiring jazz singer.
Vinnie is drawn into the mysterious disappearance of jazz musician Isaiah Jackson, who vanished two decades ago. His investigation reveals a dangerous link to Dominic Ricci, a notorious club owner entangled in a harrowing sex trafficking ring. With the help of Kurt, a rival club owner with a personal vendetta against Ricci, Vinnie uncovers evidence of Ricci’s criminal activities while piecing together the somber melody of Jackson’s final days.
In his quest to unravel the truth behind Jackson's disappearance, Vinnie’s path unexpectedly crosses with Elena’s, reigniting their strained relationship. Their emotional journey intertwines with the investigation, offering a chance for redemption and reconciliation.
In a poignant finale, Vinnie and his saxophone share the stage with Elena, healing old wounds and celebrating their rekindled bond against the soulful backdrop of the music they both cherish.
