ISLAND OF DEMAND
By Nganga Njoku

GENRE: Action
LOGLINE:

When a war pilot crash-lands into a hidden society governed by collective need and AI-guided production, he must survive captivity, betrayal, and a public vote on his life—only to face a deeper battle between the world he fled and the world that might just save him.

SYNOPSIS:

The Island of Demand follows Aric Vane, a war pilot from a decaying superpower who crashes into a mysterious island hidden from the outside world. Captured by the island’s security force, he’s examined, put to work in a labor camp, and trained in a society that functions on collective need, AI-driven production, and measured contribution—not profit.

Though he learns from those around him and even forms a bond with Kaela, one of the island’s leaders, Aric secretly plots his escape. When he finally makes his move, he’s intercepted, and his fate is left to a public vote. At the last moment, Kaela intervenes—offering to train him as a lieutenant instead of condemning him. Her decision triggers Aric’s internal reckoning, especially when she begins to resemble the wife he left behind.

As Aric adapts to this world, Kaela takes him through the island’s production systems—showing how goods are made based on public data, algorithms, and ethical contribution. But Aric’s implanted chip begins to reactivate, drawing the outside world closer to this peaceful civilization. With war looming, Aric must choose whether to protect the world he once defended, or the one that redefined what it means to live.
