The Black Salt film wins the Cinemax/HBO action short film competition at the 2015 Urban Action Showcase at the AMC Empire 25 Theater in Times Square. The winner received distribution on HBO/Cinemax On Demand & Max Go. The Black Salt film was the most anticipated minifeature at the convention and previewed to a packed standing room only crowd. Dan’s Movie Report also review the Black Salt film a 9 out of 10 and picked as the top short film for 2015. The story is an epic thriller merging the world of modern-day espionage and political intrigue with the ancient world of martial arts. The franchise includes integrated branding opportunities for the following: Black Salt collectible items, Apparel Line, Comic Books, Trading Cards, Toys, Animated Series, Video Game, Soundtrack/Music Tour, TV series and Feature Film Trilogy. The minifeature is a precursor to the Black Salt feature film and TV series that are in pre-production. The Black Salt 30-minute minifeature’s production budget was raised through a successful crowd funding campaign. A new crowd funding campaign was launched for marketing and promotional capital www.indiegogo.blacksaltfilm.com. The goal is to market and promote the 30-minute short film as if it were a major feature film release and more importantly, to implement the Distrify distribution platform to monetize the Black Salt short film.
