A young couple’s happy marriage starts to go downhill after a health scare makes them reassess their lives.

SYNOPSIS:

Jerry and Melanie were crazy about each other, it was love at first sight, and they got married within the first year of their relationship.

Things usually went well; Jerry’s wealthy father paid for their New York apartment while Jerry trained at the New York Stock Exchange. Melanie worked, but after getting fired numerous times, she stopped looking, there wasn’t a need for her to experience anymore disappointment in the working world.

Jerry and Melanie experience the usual ups and downs of a relationship, but they’ve always been happy with each other, until their third anniversary.

While cooking the anniversary dinner; Melanie suffers a heart attack.

While the incident turns out to be minor, the stress of waiting for test results, the possibility of it happening again, and steep medical bills begin to wear on their marriage.

As things start changing for the worse after the scare; Jerry and Melanie begin to wonder if they were meant to be together in the first place, or if they’ve already run their course.
