Based on a true story, in 1947, Gary was born with a very deformed body and was being recruited by the county to be institutionalized, but his father and mother fought to care for him in their own home despite what society thought should be done.

SYNOPSIS:

Gary was born with body deformities that made it impossible for him to walk on his own. Except for saying Ma and Pa, his speech was limited to only screams in the day and night. He could sit up and was able to communicate in his own way, but was confined to a bed. The story takes you through his life and the life of those around him. How Gary touched so many lives and the lives of his caregivers is gut wrenching.
