A WW2 hero, aloof and broken, intent on keeping his wife’s
memory intact, is seriously challenged when his precocious 8-year-old son hires
a French au-pair behind his back.

SYNOPSIS:
Major William Mackenzie, deliberately hides in the past, buried in his study, since his wife died in childbirth, unable to write his memoirs.
His son, Nigel, is a daily reminder of his loss. Although a precocious 8 year-old, who does the London Time’s daily crossword puzzle, William sees Nigel as a holy terror, acting up and driving his nannies away. William gives in to the badgering of his mother, Lady Mackenzie, and threatens to send Nigel to board his old military school.
Nigel takes matters into his own hands and responds to an ad for an au-pair student, using his father’s stationery. To everyone's surprise, Fanny Aragon, an outspoken French woman shows up at William’s door, radiating gypsy magic and charm.
But things turn sour when after a night of revelry, Fanny finds herself in a compromised position...
