PRIVATE LESSONS (A FREE SHORT)

GENRE: Crime, Drama, Film-noir
LOGLINE: Jeb Wine, a bored and homesick salesman stuck in Paris, desperate to hear an American voice, engages a flamboyant cowboy in conversation at the hotel bar and gets far more than he bargained for, as the man he's chosen to talk to claims to be a hit man.

SYNOPSIS:

Filming Specs: Principal Actors: 2 (1 in his 30's with an American accent, 1 in his 50's who can do a Germanic accent). Also minor roles for a bartender and a waiter (French accents), and half a dozen to a dozen non-speaking parts for people playing bar patrons in the background, and a puppy (accent undetermined, must be cute). Filming locations: Hotel bar, and hotel room. Film Length: Approximately 15 minutes. (If well rehearsed and well planned, this is a project that could be shot in a day)

Read it and really dug it. I think the ending might need to be a bit more somehow, feels like the brakes get slammed pretty hard. Something about Karl makes me feel as if he would still finish lunch, continue the conversation like nothing had happened. I could definitely see this turning into a feature if one had the mind to make it so. Very strong characters and it could be a fun premise.
