QUACKTON TRAVELOPOLIS (EPISODE ONE: PILOT)
By Chris WIlliams

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE: Quackton Travelopolis is a Radio Comedy Sketch Show that is reminiscent of comedy sketch shows such as Dead Ringers, Little Britain, and Come Fly With Me (All of which made their debut radio before moving on to television). In some ways it is similar to Dylan Thomas’s “Under Milk Wood”, in regards to the detail of the setting and the structure of the characters. The show is set at a recently developed major transportation centre in a seaside town in the South East of England., the Quackton Travelopolis. The Travelopolis features a wide variety of transport. There is an International Airport, a Train Station, a Coach and Bus Station, a Port, and even a Hotel. All the transport and facilities is Quackton Travelopolis’s own (Q.T). In some ways it is a parody of Richard Branson’s Virgin transportation. The show has a variety of eccentric characters working in the various areas of Quackton Travelopolis. The passengers and guests using the Travelopolis are just as bizarre as the staff serving them. With all this eccentricity, Quackton Travelopolis creates a surreal environment which borders on insanity. Every scene there is a new dilemma. Every episode there are new characters being introduced. The show is half an hour long, and there are six episodes in total.

SYNOPSIS:

The First Episode (Pilot) revolves around the grand opening of Quackton Travelopolis. Throughout the episode, each area of the Travel Centre is introduced along with it's characters. As the day unfolds, you will see the various eccentricities and faults of the staff, customers, and the place itself. Nothing like the Quackton Travelopolis has ever been created before. Will it be a success, or will be a disaster? Well, you are just going to have to wait and see.
