After witnessing the brutal murder of his girl friend, a college- bound athlete attempts to pull his life back together, but is haunted by a series of strange occurrences and images. He keeps imagining he sees his girl friend and she’s attempting to reach out to him beyond the grave with a dire warning.

SYNOPSIS:

Kevin McManus, a high school basketball star player decides to head to a Halloween party with friends after winning the State semi-finals. It begins to rain along the way. While in the car, his friends are called and asked to pick up ice for the party and decide to stop at a local convenience store. Kevin and his girlfriend, Nicole enter the premises and he heads for the store’s restroom. Soon after, a pair of mysterious thugs (in Halloween masks) follow him into the store and attempt what appears to be a holdup. While washing up in the restroom, Kevin senses something is wrong. He carefully exits the restroom and sees what is assumed to be a robbery in progress. While attempting to interrupt the holdup, his valiant efforts end with the shooting of both him and Nicole. Kevin is shot in the leg, and Nicole’s injury is fatal.

After attending Nicole’s funeral, Kevin begins seeing visions of her, leaving others to think that he might share some kind of a psychic kinship with Nicole. While these new supernatural experiences not only torment Kevin they also endow him with the ability to intervene in a series of mysterious and dangerous events. These occurrences threaten the lives of those around him. Kevin, however, has the prescience to save them, including his fellow students & and a teacher from a deadly gas leak in the library annex. Seeking answers, Kevin’s close friends, Chloe and Maggie, read tarot cards in order to determine Kevin’s fate. Kevin is angry and won’t ascribe any meaning to his various supernatural experiences.

Late one night, after a team dinner at a local upscale restaurant, Kevin catches a glimpse of someone who’s been following him around town ever since Nicole’s death. Giving chase to the mysterious figure, Keven discovers that it is Trick, one of the thugs who shot him and Nicole. He now realizes that the psychic connection that he had with Nicole has also been a link to Trick! It turns out that Trick is a degenerate gambler who lost money on Kevin’s winning shot at the basketball game. It was never a robbery, he intended to shoot Kevin. Trick is soon cornered and killed by the assiduous Detective Grindler, who’s been investigating the botched store robbery the entire time. By acting against Trick this time, Kevin finds closure. This conclusion not only retires his visions of Nicole but also he begins to heal from the remaining scars of being shot and loosing Nicole.
