An estranged couple must decide how to execute their daughter's killer.

SYNOPSIS:

“Killing Method” is a fictional drama about an alternate society where capital punishment is dealt out by the harshest methods. Murder was so rampant that the United States government made capital punishment law in every state where the guilty are put to death by any means seen fit by the victims’ family and broadcast live for the world to see. This is called "Corrective Action".

The story centers around Paul and Maxine Collins, who must decide how to execute the man who killed their daughter. Paul, a religious believer, and Maxine, an atheist, go against the establishment and use “Restorative Justice”, rather than “Corrective Action”, sparing the life of Samuel Stockton. The Collins spare Samuel’s life exposing a loophole in the Corrective Action law. The couple successfully fights the courts and in doing so, enacts a clause where under certain circumstances, the convicted could be “Forgiven” of his or her crime spared the death penalty, and go free.

The story jumps ten years after the Collins case, where Collins’ life has become difficult while Samuel’s life flourished after publishing a best-selling novel depicting his experience with Restorative Justice. A changed man, Samuel re-enters Collins’ life where Samuel and Maxine have more in common than the tragic death of her daughter. Paul becomes unraveled who never truly healed from losing his daughter. They all come to struggle with their past and together look to pick up the pieces in the present with an unforeseen future that will challenge them beyond their deepest and darkest emotions.
