I saw that this is Introduce Yourself Weekend. So here goes. Hi everyone. Richard, Thanks for creating a great space for all of us.
As a military veteran turned peacemaking filmmaker, my heart’s desire and my greatest strength is to teach people how to love their neighbor. I am fulfilling my mission through television, film, books and music. Let me know if I can help you in any way. I’m always open to discussing ideas, making connections, talking about collaboration or filling a production role on or off camera!
Here’s some info about some of the projects I currently have on my slate:
- WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer is completed, released (2017) and is currently transforming policing in America by bridging the gap between police and people of color. More than 25,000 people have seen the film and participated in post-screening discussions and workshops so far at churches, schools, law enforcement agencies, libraries and theaters in more than 20 states. We’ve created a business model that has a very long and strong tail with workshops, conferences, a companion book, community events and even a global social responsibility summit we are planning for the fall of 2020. www.WalkingWhileBlack.com
- Wellness 101 is a game show I’m hosting to help people live their best, healthiest, most fulfilling life! It launches in July 2019 and will become a powerhouse game show brand just like The Price is Right, Family Feud or Wheel of Fortune. www.facebook.com/wellness101life
- Chocolate, Pennsylvania is a romantic comedy in development. When the reclusive and mysterious caretaker of a small town’s defunct chocolate factory makes a batch of magical chocolate that makes white people turn black and black people turn white, hilarity ensues as the townsfolk discover who they really are and what they really stand for — especially protagonist Will Stark who steps up to save the day and in the process finally wins over the secret love of his life.
- Invisible Bob is a drama in development about a veteran whose life quickly spirals out of control and he becomes homeless -- showing all of us just how vulnerable we are and why we should come to the aid of veterans who have served us and now need our support.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
