Racing against her descending blindness, a headstrong photographer journeys to remote Thailand to fulfill her dream of documenting endangered tigers, only to discover the most dangerous predator in the jungle is man.
SYNOPSIS:
When a tragic car accident leaves her teenage niece comatose, talented wildlife photographer Jessica Mendez gets devastating news - the degenerative eye condition that caused the crash will eventually leave her completely blind. Warned that continuing photography will accelerate her vision loss, Jessica is determined to pursue one last adventure documenting endangered tigers in Thailand, her niece’s favorite.
Joining friends Bobby, Sarah, and veteran guide Peter on the expedition, Jessica ventures into the jungle, unaware a group of wealthy trophy hunters led by narcissist George also seek the elusive tiger prize. As Jessica’s vision deteriorates tracking the tiger, the groups fatefully encounter the majestic animal at a pond. When a bumbling hunter shoots Peter, George helps transport him back to civilization for medical attention—or so he claims.
A series of sinister events on the trek back indicate the hunters have hidden motives. After Peter dies, the hunters abandon Jessica’s group, stealing their map. Now both groups threaten the tiger’s territory and face grave danger.
Tragedy escalates when the provoked tiger attacks Sarah. Seeking revenge, Bobby fails to survive his encounter. Alone and nearly blind, Jessica is left to lure the tiger for the hunters. A relentless George orchestrates the tiger's demise at any cost.
After George finally shoots the wounded tiger, Jessica discovers a cub in the tiger's cave. Experiencing a change of heart despite her blindness, Jessica rescues the cub. George meets his demise in the jungle, while Jessica emerges from the prowl’s ultimate apex predator to its compassionate protector. Guided by sound, she carries the cub towards rescue, having found courage and redemption despite adversity.
