TEAM STACKED
By Zachary Just

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE: A group of people from all over the world form a video game team on the internet and start to form a close friendship in the process.

SYNOPSIS:

Still reeling from a disappointing senior year of high school athletics, Zach decides to form a competitive video game team in the summer before college begins. To do this, he posts on a forum that attracts the likes of Tom, Nick, Richard, and Kelsey. In addition to the post, he also recruits the reluctant Dom. One by one, each member joins, and while it is initially and consistently awkward, there are spurts of chemistry that reveal the potential friendship. "Team Stacked," at its core is a show about friendship. It is about how a group of people can form a close friendship on the internet despite there being no physical contact. In a sense, it is a very pure form of friendship as it does not rely on location, only interests and natural chemistry. The show will only use gaming as a backdrop and NOT as the focal point. Note that every character's primary reason for the joining the team is not for actual gaming, but for a deeper reason, such as Richard's desire to fit in, or Nick's search for friendship. The focus of the show is on the growth of the characters and the growth of their friendship. While they will sometimes use gaming to interact, the strengthening of the friendship will come as all natural friendships do. The show will rely on heart as much as it relies on comedy, but the intention will always be to make the audience laugh. At the end of the day, the show will be about friends just hanging out and having fun, not about gaming. So do not expect jokes related to gaming that could alienate the audience.
