SYNOPSIS:

Everyday people all over the world are bombarded with spam, junk mail, and hundreds of scams, but every now and then very important emails get lost in the mayhem. The following stories are sometimes life altering and will always leave you wondering...what if.

Story 1(Missed Connections)

Mary Robinson is a shy, quiet, self-reliant woman in her mid-30's from Seattle, WA. Mary runs her own clothing store that she has built with the help of a modest inheritance from the passing of her father at a young age. Although she is successful in business she has never been able to find that special someone to share her life. Until one day she has a meeting with one of her new suppliers Jacob Smith, a very handsome man in his mid to late 30's, there's an obvious connection.

They eventually go out on a very friendly business luncheon which they both enjoyed and eventually exchange business cards in hopes one will contact the other to further a relationship. Jacob, who has also had his fair share of difficult relationships and is leery about coming on too strong, so he decides he will just sent Mary a quick email to let her know how much he enjoyed her company. Jacob also made it perfectly clear how much would love to go out again sometime.

The next day we see Mary's email page, roughly twenty new emails and twenty new junk emails. Mary scans through her inbox, but there is nothing that stands out as needing her immediate attention. Jacob's email however is nestled nicely at the top of her junk email. As her day went on, Mary would check her phone and email hoping for that call or email from Jacob. At the same time, Jacob's email was dropping from the top of her junk email to the middle, and eventually the bottom.

Jacob was also looking forward to hearing from Mary, but she did not respond to his email. Jacob was going to call Mary, however he felt it may be unprofessional from a business prospective.

A few weeks later when Mary contacted the supply company, hoping Jacob would respond and possibly reconnect. She was disappointed when a different representative arrived. Jacob was feeling he overstepped his boundaries and decided to send another colleague to handle her account. Email that Jacob sent was automatically deleted.

Story 2(Real inheritance)

Kal Rahim came to America when he was just three years old as his family was separated during the Gulf War in Kuwait. Kal was part of government funded program to assist displaced children during the war, he was brought up by foster parents here in the United States. He has no idea about the fate of his real family, but is very close with his foster parents.

He is an average hard working twenty-five year old guy living in Miami, Fl. Kal works as a cable contractor for a few different companies. He makes a modest living, older car, small apartment he shares with his roommate Kevin. Kal has been in and out of relationships for a couple years now, he does fairly well with dating. He always seems to have a few women on the go at the same time. He also has to work fairly hard to keep them from finding out about one another.

This is one of the main reasons he has two cell phones, one for work/play and the other one for strictly personal use. He also has a few different email accounts that he uses for different dating sites. Most of the time he does a great job of juggling his girlfriends, his texts, and his emails, but in some cases he gets caught and pays the price.

Kal also has huge amount of spam and junk mail from all the “bad” sites he signed up for over the past few years. Like most people he barley checks his junk mail, but when he does, he usually just deletes the whole box at once and moves on.

Unbeknownst to Kal, he did have a relative, an uncle, who was tracking him down over the past twenty years. This uncle recently passed away unfortunately but left instructions for a few million dollars to be given to Kal if his lawyers were able to track him down.

They eventually did find what they believed to be Kal, living in Miami who fit the profile. The group had only been able to find an active email account that was assigned to Kal Rahim. They started to send email after email to Kal, which unfortunately went right into his Junk Mail.

The lawyers for his late uncle were unaware that this was occurring and also not aware of the other four kinds of similar scam emails Kal would receive on a daily basis. They continued for a few months with no reply and decided to close the case.

Kal at one point did end up checking his emails and junk emails, however after reading the tag line he assumed it was just like all the others he’s seen in his junk…he deleted all.
