An undocumented immigrant works his way to the top of Hollywood, but when he's discovered to be in the country illegally faces deportation.
SYNOPSIS:
Felipe is a farmer in Mexico who works hard, but dreams of more. When his father dies he promises him that he will take care of Felipe's Mom. However, Felipe has a dream--to be a movie star. Felipe sneaks his way across the border after much hard work. After making it to America his only companion is Joe--a homeless man who dreams of being a writer, producer, director, cinematographer, editor, boom operator, and part time employee at Walmart. Felipe doesn't speak English and Joe doesn't speak Spanish. This changes when Felipe meats Mrs. Stevenson, an English teacher, who hires him to paint her house and do...other services...Mrs. Stevenson also introduces Felipe to Maria, an acting teacher, who is the most beautiful woman Felipe has ever seen. Felipe is convinced by Joe to create a new Identity for himself ANTONIO CHIPOTLE. At first he is told he is such a bad actor he can't play dead. He auditions for every little part he can get including for Esteven Spilbergo. He is so unmemrable people call him Mr. Del Taco, Mr. Chimichanga and Mr. Enchilada. He lands his first major role thanks to Joe in Jorge Lucas' Guerra Estrella. He is paid a whopping twenty eight dollars and eighteen cents for three months work.
Soon though Joe sells his screenplay and Felipe/Antonio becomes the hottest new star in the world. He lives in a mansion and wins all the major acting awards. However the Paparazzi discovers he's an undocumented immigrant and he's soon faces deportation, despite the fact that he's rich and has millions of fans. Unfortunatly He's able to name every president backwards, their third grade teachers and every vice president--but can't name his favorite scene from the Goonies, proof he's not an American citizen. A "free Chipotle" event is held bringing together people who want to help Felipe and people who want to eat at Chipotle for free.
Will Felipe be able to stay in the U.S. or will his career permanently derail?
