In order to live her dream of becoming Major League Baseball’s first female General Manager, a single, thirty-something, ex-lawyer must use her maverick ways to maneuver through the sabotaging efforts of the old boys club and save her team’s franchise from going under.
SYNOPSIS:
Baseball, America’s pastime. It’s a sandlot where makeshift fields have been constructed by neighborhood kids. A catch with your Mom. A family game. Enter Jackie Williams and Hank Robinson siblings and co-owners of The Charlotte Wildcats a Major League Baseball team that they inherited from their father.
Desperate to get their team out of the longest losing streak in history and to save their family’s legacy, Jackie hires Emma to use her successful maverick strategies as an ex-lawyer and former Minor League Exec, as the new Assistant General Manager. In an old boys club, Emma must figure out a way despite the sabotaging efforts of her opponent, Pete Nelson, the team’s Head of Player Development, and Hank who is also the team's General Manager, to save the franchise and become MLB first female General Manager.
