A Special Ops soldier and her team race against the clock to stop the New Confederacy, an army of ravenous undead soldiers led by the reanimated corpse of Jefferson Davis, from launching a second Civil War, one we have no hope of winning.

SYNOPSIS:

Sort of like “Kill Bill” meets “Resident Evil”,”(Re)Birth of a Nation or How Zombies Ate the South” is a fun, bloody action horror that is also part social commentary, and a dash of history. According to legend, the Spear of Destiny was the spear used by a Roman soldier to stab Jesus as he lay dying on the cross, and whoever claims the spear, and solves its mysterious, shall hold power over life and death. A group called the New Confederacy has not only unlocked the Spear’s secrets, but have used them to reanimate Jefferson Davis, and an army of ravenous undead Confederate soldiers for him to lead. When DC gets wind of their plan, they send Nia Harris: a medical researcher, specializing in bio-hazards, and a former Special Ops soldier; and two members of her old squad: Carlos Lopez and Ben Woo; down to South Carolina to retrieve the Spear. When Ben and Carlos are killed, Nia teams up with a gay FBI agent and a middle-aged librarian, and together they battle their way across the south. Their fight leads them to Fort Sumter, where Nia must face off against Jefferson Davis and his army of undead, and, if she fails, not only will the south rise, but the world will fall.
