SYNOPSIS:

2096, noted Woman of the year, Elizabeth, explains in a camera recording, how she thinks she has uncovered a way to travel back in time. Elizabeth leaves a comical and excited message and then vanishes in a flash of light. In 2016, Bethany a student physicist, is displaced as she is living in a abusive household, looking after a drunk father, a negligent mother and three siblings, while studying Physics at university. In struggling to maintain sanity, Bethany is a closed young woman, who would rather let her friends believe she can manage the complexities of her life at twenty-one, by herself. However there are flashes of normality when her sister tells her to leave and not come back and her boyfriend rescues her from her dad's grubby clutches. Bethany leaves with her boyfriend, both physicist students, two poets, best friends, Karen, a political rights activist poet and Belle, a mechanic Martin and Belles Partner and a self serving druggy Tan , Karen's boyfriend, head off on a long weekend, travel to Lake Black, to escape the real world and relax. Despite each day beginning the same way, with a leasurely hike, it ends in one or more of the friends being killed. On their hike, the six encounter a compound of carefully hidden marijuana plantation and biker drug dealers. Instead of doing the sane thing by turning back to camp unseen, one of the hikers Tan, a rich, spoilt, small time drug dealer, decides to cut out the middle man by ensuing a meeting with the bikers. When he is shot, his other friends must escape for their lives. Beautiful pregnant Belle is accidentally killed by a bullet aimed at her boyfriend Martin, when he is shot in the shoulder fleeing from a biker. Hurt, exhausted and fearfully returning back to camp, the last three survivors are thrown backwards by a phenomenon of spectral lightening, hitting the centre of the camp site, and still in shock shock, get up to greet their recently dead friends. It's only when the lady in white, blood trickling down her forehead, appears in the middle of their camp site, preceded by flashes of lightening, the two scientist, the protagonists couple, Bethany and Michael, assume the probability of a time displacement, in which they have ended up in an alternate universe. Not completely proving their suspicions and physic supposition of time travel, their attemp to convince the others to leave for their safety, is thwarted, by a broken down car and Tans determination to make a drug deal. While this Tan heads off to make his deal with the bikers, the others construct a plan to get the car fixed to leave. In the waiting time however, they must survive further attacks from the bikers. In this timeline, Belle is killed again as is Tan at his meeting, but Martin and the mysterious woman in white survive. Bethany's need to survive and love for her friends, unveils an otherwise closed off personality and she takes charge. Another lightening flashes precisely at the same time as the day before and means that the group of five survivors jump into another time displacement and find Belle and Tan alive again. This time, Karen has taken Tans gun from him, before he can insist on leaving to make drug deals and creating the murderous onslaught of the bikers. They work out a way to leave safely, but just in case the Bikers attack unsolicited in this timeline, they prepare defence strategies, and make traps to protect themselves. In setting traps, Martin uncovers more dead bodies around the camp site of former campers who had been unlucky to stumble upon the drug dealing bikers. However he has no time to waste as he must help protect the women hiding back at camp. Unfortunately by the time he gets back to help them they have already been attacked by a biker, leaving Belle bleeding, but alive. However not so lucky for the biker as in the most unlikely turn of events, Belle has killed him. Meanwhile on the way back from getting parts for the car, Karen, Michael and Tan are met by the leader, killer biker, Homer, whom with the assistance of his mates, threaten the group. It's only when Tan tries to deal with them that he is yet again shot and the others must flee. On the way back to camp they lead two bikers into traps set previously by Martin, but Michael is unconscious in the fight. Thinking he is dead, Karen goes back to help the girls and they succeed in killing or at the very least throwing the last two bikers into a new time line, but Bethany has been thrown also into a new time displacement and all three have disappeared. Michael returns to camp to see the face of his beloved Bethany disappear and Elizabeth now reveals who she is and that the only way for her to help the group is that if she travels back to 2096. Who is Elizabeth to them and which time displacement timeline did the each return to? What will the future hold for all the others? Find out in the Sequal, ANOTHER TIME.
