SYNOPSIS:
For decades, Dr. Saul Aaronson has worked at Wellings College, researching the possibility of creating a 'telepathic amplifier'. Assisted by Dr. Doug Perruthers, the two have faith in their work...but not much success. The tide is about to turn. The breakthrough arrives after years of hard work, bringing with it unfortunate news. The night of their discovery, Saul's wife dies - leaving Dr. Aaronson a widower; his victory hollow. As days pass into weeks, Dr. Aaronson and Perruthers dig deeper into their discovery. They begin to wonder if what they're hearing is telepathy...or the echoes of the dead. University politics forces a merger with Dunning, a rival Institute. As the mystery and dangers deepen, Saul finds himself forced to share control of his life's work. Increasingly, he becomes afraid of what his theories will uncover...and the moral dilemmas that may follow.
