A high school girl, Ebony, learns a valuable lesson about toxic shock syndrome when she gives her friend Michelle a tampon too absorbent for what she needs, sending her friend into TSS.

SYNOPSIS:

Michelle is caught ill-prepared at school when she starts her period. She asks her friend Ebony for a tampon to get her through school and a track meet. Ebony offers an Ultra size tampon to a desperate Michelle, who takes it. Throughout the school day Michelle slowly develops the symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome, ultimately collapsing in the school locker room and suffering a seizure. At the hospital, the Doctor informs her mother, friend and track coach that Michelle is in dire straits and may not survive. Ebony is devastated to learn that the tampon she gave her friend is the cause of this life threatening situation. After Michelle dies, Ebony starts an education campaign to prevent this from happening again.
