After a bitter alcoholic rescues a broken teenager from a life in the sex trade he struggles to find her parents while her trafficking pimp pursues them.
SYNOPSIS:
After a bitter middle-aged African American alcoholic rescues a teenaged Filipino human trafficking victim from the ravages of sexual bondage, their friendship grows despite their mercurial interaction as they learn to coexist in a small apartment. As enemies force them to coalesce they discover that their bond is deeper than anyone suspects.

Generational Curses was also a finalist in the 2016 Kairos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays, the 2016 Urbanworld International Film Festival and was also just listed in the Hot 100 of screenplays in the 2018 Capital Fund Screenplay Competition.
