CALVIN WANTS TO BURN DOWN THE WOODS

A recovering addict courts his estranged friends to help him burn down the forest by his family cottage to kill a demon residing there. They agree to come along if only to try and stop him. But when the demon proves real, the friends get cornered on a floating dock it cannot reach where old grudges threaten to tear the group apart before the monster does.

Intriguing concept, sounds like it could be a fun horror ride. This logline is quite long though, it's usually best to focus on the world. protagonist, goal, conflict and stakes to make it more succinct.
For example: 'A recovering addict courts his estranged friends to help burn down a forest he believes a malicious demon is hiding in, causing old grudges to resurface as the friends become torn between loyalty and belief.'
