SYNOPSIS:

Every action has a consequence and no good deed goes unpunished. It’s 1994 and rookie FBI Agent Kate Marchetti has received an emergency transfer from the Atlanta FBI Field Office to a resident office in Columbus, Ohio, hoping to escape a violent ex-boyfriend. In Columbus, the neo-noir tone offers her a grim and front row welcome to her new life; she's partnered with a widowed veteran named Abel Shaw, who is close to retirement and not on the clock for any heroism, not until the rabbit falls on Kate's desk. In the city, there’s a chess match and a lot of moves are being made and for twenty-two year old, Brittany “Bunny” Campbell, she’s caught up in the middle of it. She’s both troubled and in trouble, herself through the day, prostitute by night and a fatal encounter with a John leads her to a place she doesn’t want to be, but it’s her only option. Everyone’s got their problems and they’ve just got to find a way to work through it, even if it means breaking the rules, every now and again. That’s what K.C’s learned in his twenty years, he’s living paycheck to paycheck, his only relative is his grandmother, who's battling cancer for the second time, so he’s got to do whatever it takes to pay the bills. It’s just that every so often, he’s found himself in a bad situation and every so often, he seems to find a way out of it, but this time, he might have crossed the wrong people and there will be a reckoning before it’s all said and done.
