When atheist Eldin Summers finds himself before the gates of Heaven, he discovers that his selfless and sinful acts are tied; forcing one final choice to enter Heaven or Hell, but the decision may be more difficult than it seems. 

SYNOPSIS:

Eldin and his wife, Marcy, are rushed into the emergency room following a car accident. Both of them slowly slip away as emergency personnel attempt to revive them. Eldin steps into a waiting room between the offices of Heaven and Hell where he is informed by Angel that his selfless and sinful acts are tied. She advises him that he will need to commit one final act to decide his fate. After thinking to himself, Eldin successfully increases his selfless acts by one. As he is about to enter Heaven, Angel informs him that his wife is waiting for him. After discovering that his wife has viewed documents detailing his past, he commits two sins, prohibiting himself from entering Heaven.

He then consults with Dick about entering Hell and is about to enter when he learns that his mother-in-law is waiting for him. Eldin quickly completes another good deed, tying his selfless acts and sins yet again, but is dismayed that he only has two options. Angel and Dick attempt to reason with him, but engage in a heated argument. Eldin finally helps them reconcile their differences while learning that he needs to resolve issues with both his wife and mother-in-law.

However, they advise him that he took too long to decide and must be sent to Limbo to work with Cain. Following a negative interaction with Cain, Angel and Dick suddenly arrive, informing him that he has been granted a choice with an accommodation as a result of helping Angel and Dick resolve their differences. The film ends with Eldin lounging on a beautiful beach in Heaven as Angel arrives, who questions Eldin about his wife. He has chosen to use his accommodation to send Marcy to Limbo where she is stuck with Cain.
