A rebellious teenage First Nations girl is sent back in time to learn the ways of her ancestors, and must journey across colonial America to find her way home.

SYNOPSIS:

Emma is a rebellious teenager living with her mother on a reservation in British Columbia, Canada. She’s a member of the Tlingit tribe of First Nations peoples. Her mother, Chasca, wants Emma to take over as spiritual leader of the tribe, but Emma has her own plans for her future and has no interest in learning the ways of her people. After getting into an argument with Chasca over her path in life, Emma goes on a hike to blow off steam. She comes across Raven, and as she doesn’t recognize the trickster god, she accidentally insults him. As punishment, Raven sends her back in time to learn the ways of other First Nations tribes, and won’t let her return home until she learns the ways of her own people… 3000 miles away across savage wilderness.
